EMETH is a Zelem-Halen, Limburg based act dating to October 1997 as a Metalcore orintated outfit, adding former NECRODOCHION drummer Tom A. during March of 2001 as they switched to a technical Death Metal stance. Signing to the Brutal Bands label the band entered Excess Studios in Rotterdam during September 2003 to lay down their debut album 'Insidious'. The album saw release in June 2004 and was promoted by European festival performances at the Belgian 'Brame fest' and 'Deathmetal.be' event, the 'Obscene Fest' in the Czech Republic and 'The Mezz' in Holland. US dates in August, dubbed the 'Brutal Domination' tour, had EMETH allied with Colombians INTERNAL SUFFERING, Swedish act STABWOUND and US Deathsters INCINERATE.

Guitarist Peter Goemaere joined the ranks of ABORTED in October 2006. The 2007 album 'Reticulated' was recorded at Excess Studios. Gurgloroth Sven of ABORTED guested. In June EMETH partnered with FUCK THE FACTS and HEAPS OF DEAD for dates across Ontario, Canada.
