THE ORDER OF APOLLYON, founded during early 2009, is a Black/Death Metal project featuring GENITAL GRINDER, GARWALL and ABORTED guitarist BST (a.k.a. Sébastien Tuvi) and drummer Daniel Wilding.

James McIlroy, live session guitarist for CRADLE OF FILTH, and guitarist of CHAOSANCT, joined the band in April. Weeks later the band announced the addition of bassist Peter Benjamin from AKERCOCKE to the ranks for recording of a debut album 'The Flesh'.
