Biography

Heavy Metal act VOUGAN was formed in Brasília, Distrito Federal during July 2005 by ex-DARK AVENGER personnel drummer Acácio Carvalho, bassist G Zus alongside former IGNIS and DARK AVENGER guitarist Hugo Santiago. Subsequently keyboard player, Felipe K., ex-BAD WOLF, enrolled, followed by erstwhile AMONICIDE and HEAVEN'S GUARDIAN singer Carlos Gustavo Alves Zema. With this line-up the band recorded the promotional session 'Silent Souls'.

During 2006 vocalist Carlos Zema left VOUGAN to join the Texas based Metal act OUTWORLD. He would also work with the DAVID SHANKLE GROUP and COLDERA. Izack Salvatierra was drafted in May 2007 as new frontman. VOUGAN released its debut album, 'Mind Exceeding', in September 2007. However, Carlos Zema returned to the ranks in August 2008.

Bill Hudson, the lead guitarist for CIRCLE II CIRCLE and POWER QUEST, Gustavo Monsanto, of REVOLUTION RENAISSANCE, and Jazz guitarist Vernon Neilly performed as guests with VOUGAN on 14th and 15th November in Goiania for shows filmed for a DVD release.
