Biography

A joint Finnish / Canadian Black Metal concept based in Saint John, New Brunswick. The project is mentored by Disease (a.k.a. Jamie Vautour) of BOUND IN HUMAN FLESH and BEYOND THE GOAT, handling guitar, bass, keyboards, drum programming, together with guitarist N. Hate. OBSCENE EULOGY released a demo called 'A Portal Into Fire' in March 2002 on the Unexpected Death Music label. This session featured guest lead vocals from Mika Luttinen of IMPALED NAZARENE. Baphomet Records re-released these demos as an EP in January the following year, adding an intro 'Rivers Of Blood In The Mind Of Horror'.

Remaining on the Baphomet imprint, OBSCENE EULOGY's full-length album 'Defining Hate: The Truth Undead' emerged in early 2004. For this outing the group was credited as Disease "Population Control", N "Forever Raping the Continuum of Life" and Mika Vitun Luttinen "Preacher of Doom and Unearthly Voice of Hatred". Guests included keyboard player Graeme McCausland, Tapio Wilska on 'Helvettiin' and Killjoy of NECROPHAGIA, contributing lyrics and vocals to the track 'Mortem Paradise'.

Subsequently, Wilska, a scene veteran of LYIJYKOMPPANIA, FINNTROLL, WIZZARD, SETHIAN, NATTVINDENS GRÅT and TOTAL DEVASTATION.
