SYMPHONITY is a Power Metal band hailing from Brno, with the trio of guitar player Libor Křivák, keyboard player Ivo Hofmann and bassist Tomas Celechovsky previously trading as NEMESIS. The group is fronted by German singer Olaf Hayer, a veteran of acts such as LUCA TURILLI, DIONYSUS, LORD BYRON, MAGIC KINGDOM, TREASURE SEEKER and AINA. Originally the new unit recruited drummer Marthus (a.k.a. Martin Škaroupka) having previously played with GALACTIC INDUSTRY, ENTRAILS, HAPPY DEATH, MELANCHOLY PESSISM, EQUIRHODONT, MANTAS and INNER FEAR. However, Marthus joined CRADLE OF FILTH in November 2006.

The debut SYMPHONITY album 'Voice From The Silence' was released in Europe in August 2008 and in the USA the following month. The Japanese versions of the album hosted two extra tracks, an extended version of 'Salvation Dance' and 'In Silence Forsaken'.
