NIGHTWISH guitarist Emppu Vuorinen took an unexpected diversion away from his renowned profile in the Gothic Metal world when he launched the AOR outfit BROTHER FIRETRIBE in April 2006. Vuorinen had in fact been working on the project behind the scenes since 2001, being joined by singer Pekka Ansio Heino of LEVERAGE, bass player Jason Flinck and keyboard player Tomppa Nikulainen. Debut product, for the Spinefarm label, would be the single 'One Single Breath', in May 2006.

The album 'False Metal' followed in June, entering the national Finnish charts at number 22. As BROTHER FIRETRIBE set out on a live campaign across Finland, a follow up single, 'I'm On Fire', hit the charts at number 10 in September.

BROTHER FIRETRIBE recorded their 15th April 2009 gig at the Apollo Club in Helsinki for DVD release. NIGHTWISH singer Anette Olzen made a guest appearance, duetting on 'Heart Full Of Fire'.
