Unveiled during 2009, Heavy Metal act CAIN'S OFFERING was mentored by erstwhile SONATA ARCTICA guitarist Jani Liimatainen. After closing an eleven year career with SONATA ARCTICA in 2007, Liimatainen took time out from the music scene before assembling this project. Recorded at an array of studios across Finland, the first album was recorded by a cast of high profile musicians including STRATOVARIUS singer Timo Kotipelto, keyboard player Mikko Harkin, credited with terms of duty with SONATA ARCTICA, WINGDOM, KENZINER, SOLUTION.45 and MEHIDA, bassist Jukka Koskinen, of WINTERSUN and NORTHER, and drummer Jani Hurula, of DREAM ASYLUM.

Italian imprint Frontiers Records signed CAIN'S OFFERING for the debut album 'Gather The Faithful' and a European release on 28th August. This version sported red artwork whilst the Japanese variant, on Avalon Marquee Records released a month earlier, featured blue artwork and an extra track in 'Tale Untold'.
