Biography

Kalajoki Death n' Roll Metal band, created in 1995, featuring ex-BULLDOZER and WOLFPACK drummer Heikki Malmberg. DIABLO was previously entitled the DIABLO BROTHERS. Under this former title the band released the demos 'Twizted Harmony' in 1995, 'Aggressive Machinery' in 1997 and 'To Where Pain Is' during 1999. As DIABLO the band debuted with the 2000 album 'Elegance In Black', this closing out with a cover of ABBA's 'Dancing Queen'. DIABLO's 'Eternium' spectacularly entered the Finnish album charts at number 3 in January 2004. The album, released on the Gaga Goodies label in Finland, would be licensed to German imprint Drakkar Entertainment for a mainland European release in September.

DIABLO's December 2005 single, 'Mimic 47', entered the national Finnish charts at number 1. The following week the accompanying album also hit the number 1 spot.

In November 2006 DIABLO frontman Rainer Nygård aided OMNIUM GATHERUM as guest vocalist on their 'Stuck Here On Snake's Way' album recordings. DIABLO supported TAROT on German dates in February 2007.

2009 kicked off with January and February European concerts aligned with CANNIBAL CORPSE and CHILDREN OF BODOM.
