Biography

A Death Metal band from Berlin, POSTMORTEM released their first demo, 'Secret Lunacy', in 1991. A second tape, 'Last Aid To Die', appeared the following year before the band signed to the Frankfurt based Husky Records in 1993. The group sold more than 4,000 copies of their debut album 'Screams Of Blackness' before Dirk Olesch left the group. POSTMORTEM's follow up album, 'The Age Of Mass Murder', was issued in March 1997.

The group has so far played with acts like MORBID ANGEL, HATE SQUAD, CEMETARY, ATROCITY, IN FLAMES, CREMATORY and PYOGENESIS.

The 'Der Totmacher' EP includes a twisted cover version of 'Anna', the song made famous by German Electronic Pop band TRIO. 1998's 'Repulsion' offering boasts a radical cover workout of AC/DC's 'Sin City'. The 2003 EP 'Join The Figh7 Club' incorporated a rendition of the BEASTIE BOYS 'Fight For Your Right'. Drummer Marko Thäle joined FATAL EMBRACE in mid 2003.
