Formed in 1984 and based around vocalist / bassist Ricky Van Helden. ATTACK has released a string of Power Metal albums in their time.The demo 'Mouse In A Maze' was recorded in January 1984 at Good Time Studios in Kaltenweide by Van Helden, guitarist Peter Gastmann and keyboard player 'T.R.O.S.' (a.k.a. Thomas St. Jones).

The line-up for 1984's 'Danger In The Air' debut, released by Pro-Sound Records, comprised Van Helden, guitarist Andy Kammer and keyboard player Thomas St. Jones. For the sophomore 'Return Of Evil', the band had undergone a considerably drastic change, with only Van Helden remaining. New members were guitarists Andy Niewidok and Jörg Franz and drummer Thomas Ewermann.

The 1989 album 'Destinies Of War', also witnessed major changes. ATTACK actually split but reformed with a brand new line-up. Alongside Van Helden were new guitarists Gerd Sossnierz and Chreddy Piepert and drummer Athanasios Taoukas. The group, having now installed guitar player Thorsten Koehne, recorded 'The Secret Place' album for release through Tin Can Discs in 1995. Post ATTACK, guitarist Thorsten Koehne joined DEMON DRIVE.

In 2005 ATTACK guitarist Thorsten Koehne, in union with bassist Keisuke Nishimoto from HIDEOUS SUN DEMONS and the KELLY SIMONZ band and Frank Kraus, of DEMON DRIVE and LETTER X, on drums, forged shred trio CODE OF PERFECTION, debuting with the album 'Last Exit For The Lost'. The following year Thorsten Koehne also joined forces with a fresh, high profile project billed EDEN'S CURSE, an international melodic Rock outfit initiated by CRY HAVOC bassist Paul Logue with US vocalist Michael Eden and featuring the KILLERS, THE SHOCK and THE STEVE GRIMMETT BAND drummer Pete Newdeck and celebrated keyboard player FERDY DOERNBERG, a veteran holding association with ROYAL HUNT, ROUGH SILK, AXEL RUDI PELL and ULI JON ROTH amongst many others.
