Osnabrück based od school Death Metal act EMBEDDED was manifested in the Summer 1994 by vocalist / bassist André Müller, guitarist André Danowsky with Jens Wöstmann on drums. A 1996 demo tape would be capitalised on by gigs supporting MANOS, DEW SCENTED and KRABATHOR. Despite this progress EMBEDDED folded during 1998.

Danowsky revived the group in 1999, pulling in vocalist Markus Brunsmann, bass guitarist Ingo Neugebauer and ex-MORBUS drummer Jörg Heemann. That December this version of the band cut the EP 'Fragments Of Horror' over a three day session, releasing this outing in May of 2000. Toward the close of the year EMBEDDED expanded with the addition of second guitarist Kai Schweers. Perverted Taste heightened their profile further with a split cassette release shared with Austrians DISASTROUS MURMUR.

Rainer 'Nefarius' Düsing, of THE VAST, replaced Brunsmann for the group's appearance at the 2001 'Fuck The Commerce IV' festival and the following 'Ludwigshafen Deathfest' in September. 'Banished From The Light', EMBEDDED's debut full length album, emerged through Revenge Productions in November. Dates in Finland, including a gig at the 'Westcoast Holocaust' festival in Turku, found EMBEDDED sharing stages with road partners DEEPRED and Swedish act IMMERSED IN BLOOD. Returning to mainland Europe the group also put in a showing at the Czech 'Obscene Extreme' event in Trutnov.

The band hit line-up troubles in September of 2002 with the departure of both Schweers and Neugebauer. BOUND FOR TOMB and THE VAST man Christian 'Mystif' Wösten took on bass duties. A few gigs later Philipp Jonas enrolled on guitar. EMBEDDED subsequently inducted Thrawn of SECRETS OF THE MOON on the drums and Matthias Puhr on bass, under his pseudonym of 'Ferneus' having prior affiliations with MARTYRIUM, BOUND FOR TOMB and MOSU KUMA.

Rainer Düsing donated guest vocals to KATAPLEXIA's 2005 album 'Catastrophic Scenes'.

EMBEDDED's third full-length effort 'Beyond The Flesh', recorded at the Soundlodge Studio, was released on 18th May 2009 through DB Agency. The album featured a cover version of MALEVOLENT CREATION's 'Living In Fear'.
