Power Metal band RAWHEAD REXX, fronted by the vocal talents of Jürgen Volk was founded from the ashes of Hard Rockers GLENMORE. Other members boast credits with HOLLENHUNDE, LETTER X and EROTIC JESUS. Prior to creating RAWHEAD REXX Volk had operated as frontman for R.A.W.

Issuing the Charlie Bauerfeind produced eponymous debut in early 2001 the band toured Germany as support to ANNIHILATOR and NEVERMORE. 'Rawhead Rexx', which came complete with a gory PC game to match the bloodthirsty cover art, saw release in Europe through AFM Records and via Rock Brigade in Brazil.

The band put in an appearance at the Spanish 'Rock Machina' festival in July of 2002 prior to commencing work on a second album, once again produced by Bauerfeind. 'Diary In Black' would be slated for a mid March 2003 release. The band would be lined up as support act to DORO's April German dates. Japanese variants of 'Diary In Black', released through the King label in July, added an extra track 'Troopers Of The Sin'.

In September of 2004 drummer Dani Löble, retaining his ties to RAWHEAD REXX, joined BLAZE. That same month the band parted ways with guitarist Rüdiger Fleck. Löble joined HELLOWEEN in February 2005.

In 2006 Jürgen Volk donated guest vocals to the LEGEN BELTZA album 'Dimension Of Pain'.
