Announced during 2006, RIDE THE SKY, notably featured a cast of high profile players in ex-HELLOWEEN drummer and MASTERPLAN founder Uli Kusch on drums alongside former TEARS OF ANGER and BEYOND TWILIGHT singer Bjørn Jansson and Benny Jansson on guitar. Bjørn Jansson had also fronted up TWO ROCKS and SNAKES IN PARADISE, also gaining guest credits on albums by ERIKA. BENNY JANSSON had recorded for SNAKECHARMER, RACKATEER and JOHANSSON BROTHERS and had cut three solo albums 'Virtual Humanity', 'Flumride' and 'Save The World'. RIDE THE SKY, titled after the popular HELLOWEEN song, was operated by Kusch in parallel to his BEAUTIFUL SIN project.

In December the group signed a worldwide deal with Nuclear Blast Records. Debut album tracks were cut at Monsterclan Studios N&S.
