SHOCKMACHINE was a side endeavour of HELLOWEEN bassist Marcus Großkopf. Joining in the proceedings for the self-titled 1999 album would be vocalist Olly Lugosi, X-13 guitarist Rolly Feldman, HELLOWEEN members drummer Uli Kusch and guitarist ROLAND GRAPOW and ROUGH SILK keyboard player Ferdy Doernberg. Kusch notably held a pre-HELLOWEEN tradition with HOLY MOSES, GAMMA RAY and Punk act DIE SKEPTIKER.

Japanese editions of the record included an exclusive bonus cover version of OZZY OSBOURNE's 'Steal Away The Night', recorded with METALIUM guitarist Mathias Lange and drummer Karsten Krepperts of ZZ TOP cover band BAR.B.Q.

Feldman and Lange also operate the all star JUDAS PRIEST tribute act ELECTRIC EYE in collusion with X-13 singer Jorg Wesenberg, PARAGON bassist Big M and METALIUM and HELLOWEEN drummer Mark Cross.
