SPHERE OF SOULS is a 2004 formation brandishing a glut of Dutch Prog-Metal talent. Fronted by former SUN CAGED vocalist Andre Vuurboom, the band also featured another erstwhile SUN CAGED, ANAND and AFTER FOREVER man, Joost van den Broek on keyboards, alongside Surinam born ANAND MAHANGOE of ANAND on guitars, Kees Harrison of AUTUMN EQUINOX repute on bass and ex-IMPERIUM drummer Patrick Gerritzen.

SPHERE OF SOULS cut their debut album, 'From The Ashes' a thirteen track concept piece produced by Joost van den Broek, at Rotterdam's Excess Studios in May 2005, eventually completing these sessions in October. Drummer Patrick Gerritzen, unable to combine the band with his prior schedule, was duly replaced by former AUTUMN EQUINOX man Ruud van Diepen. In early 2005 Andre Vuurboom vocalised on the track 'Smoke And Mirrors' included as part of LARS ERIC MATTSON's "non-fictional Rock Opera about the state of this planet we call Earth" WAR.

Anand Mahangoe donated guitar work to the BOOK OF REFLECTIONS November 2006 album 'Chapter II: Unfold The Future'
