Groningen Death Metal band TOXOCARA was founded in 2003. Formative line-up changes, which saw the exit of the KATAFALK and PROSTITUTE DISFIGUREMENT associated guitarist Niels van Wijk, eventually settled to see a stable unit comprising EREBUS singer Kevin Quilligan, guitarists Vince Zwarts, ex-SEIZURE, and Martijn Moes, of LEGION, THE MONOLITH DEATHCULT, ex-ETERNAL CONSPIRACY and ex-BEYOND BELIEF, erstwhile SANGUINARY bassist Anne van Doorn with the TRAVELERS IN TIME, KATAFALK and PROSTITUTE DISFIGUREMENT credited Michiel van der Plicht on drums.

In September 2004 TOXOCARA entered the studio for the 'Visceral Larval Migrans' demo sessions. In August 2005 the debut album 'Imminent Repulsion (Suffice To Prevent)' was laid down for issue through Sevared Records. A second album, 'Cold Stone Chaos', was projected for 2007.
