Biography

VIRUS comprises the talents of vocalist / guitarist Czral (a.k.a. Carl-Michael "Aggressor" Eide) of DIMMU BORGIR, DØDHEIMSGARD, VED BUENS ENDE, CADAVAR INC., AURA NOIR, INFERNÖ, ULVER and SATYRICON repute alongside HÆ?, AUDIOPAIN and GHOUL-CULT bassist Plenum (a.k.a. Petter Berntsen) and drummer Esso (a.k.a. Einar Sjursø). The latter has credits with INFERNÖ, BEYOND DAWN and LAMENTED SOULS. He also guests on FLEURETY's 2000 album 'Department Of Apocalyptic Affairs' and would join Pagan Folk act HAGALAZ' RUNEDANCE for their October 2000 tour of Germany.

The band blends an intriguing mix of Black Metal with freeform, avant-garde Jazz. Although a debut album 'The Drama Hour' was cut in 2001 it would finally emerge in August of 2003 re-branded as 'Carheart'.

Aggressor got himself into the news in somewhat bizarre circumstances when he plummeted from a five-story building in Oslo on 26th March 2005. Severely injured, the musician underwent two major operations immediately after the event.
