Formed in 1993 in Gothenburg, H.E.A.L was a project of main man and DANZIG sound alike Christian Sture. The musical style of H.E.A.L can be described as Gothic or dark Stoner rock, with a touch of Doom and Blues. The band members at the time included guitarist Jonas Axel, bassist Wolfgang and AT THE GATES, THE HAUNTED and CRADLE OF FILTH credited drummer Adrian Erlandsson. In June 1994 the band entered Studio Fredman and recorded a Mini CD entitled 'There Can Only Be One', which was shortly thereafter released through Classical Music Productions. Although not a band member, keyboards were contributed by Charlie Storm.

In late 1995 the band had no firm drummer but used the services of Adrian Erlandsson again along with WHIPPED CREAM drummer Fredrik Sandsten and recorded new material for an upcoming album. In January 1996 the album 'Shivas Ohn' (Catalogue number CMP007) was supposedly ready to be released, but this never transpired. If the recording is ever be released is uncertain since Christian Sture fired the rest of the band members and disappeared from the music scene.
