Gothenburg Grind outfit MODORRA was formed during 2004 by guitarist Ola Lawner and drummer Henri Hokkanen, later inducting singer Matthias 'Säda' Söderlund. Utilising the services of BESTIAL MOCKERY, CONSPIRACY, PSYCOMANTUM, KAROSS and ILLDÅD man Micke Petersson on bass the band recorded tracks for two intended split 7" singles in Evil Grill studios in early summer 2005. However, these songs, destined for collaborations with BESTIAL MOCKERY and Poland's SQUASH BOWELS, never materialised. Hokkanen opted out later that same year, being replaced by Jon Eriksson.

MODORRA added bassist Sikas Majken (a.k.a. Andreas Larsson) in 2007 as they announced split releases in alliance with ALTHAR OF GIALLO, GRUESOME STUFF RELISH, SQUASH BOWELS and HYPO CHRISTIANS, the last release through US label Agromosh Records.
