Biography

Formed in 1981 MOGG's first commercial release was the song 'Lose You' on a four track compilation EP on Universe Records. MOGG's debut line-up consisted of guitarist Thomas Carfors, bassist Janne Eklundh, ex ARROWS vocalist Jonny Lindqvist and drummer Robert Eriksson.

It would not be until 1987 though when MOGG were able to release debut product in the form of the 'In And Out Of Love' single. Indeed, the 45 saw a change in personnel, with the ex-GOTHAM CITY rhythm section bassist Björn Melander and drummer Jonas Östman coming into the ranks.

Opting to relocate to the United States in 1990 an album was recorded during their tenure in America and, released in 1994, the group had changed their from bombastic Party Rock to a Grunge oriented direction.

The group split and the various members, past and present, have turned up in a variety of other groups. Melander teamed up with NEPTUNE, GLORY NORTH and LIAR'S DICE. Östman joined GLORY and MENTAL whilst Sundberg joined STEAMROLLER and the YNGWIE MALMSTEEN band.
