Stockholm's DALTON was the first project drummer Mats Dahlberg involved himself in following his split with TREAT. His new venture debuted with the sugary 1986 single 'Can't Stop Loving You Now' for major label EMI Records. The debut 1987 album, 'The Race Is On', sees songwriting contributions from JON BON JOVI, RICHIE SAMBORA and DESMOND CHILD. DALTON released a number of singles and two albums in the late 1980s before splitting up, with Dahlberg forming SPEEDY GONZALES and then joining HIGHBROW.
