Stockholm Death Metal combo dating to 1996. EBONY TEARS vocalist Johnny Wranning also operated with MISCREANT and DOG FACED GODS. Guitarist Conny Jonson is also a DOG FACED GODS man. Eventually the membership of DOG FACED GODS mirrored EBONY TEARS with the recruitment of ex-BULLDOZER bassist Peter Tuthill and drummer Richard Evensand with the two bands functioning in tandem. Evansand has a diverse range of credits spanning Funksters SORCEROR, IT'S ALIVE, SOUTHPAW, MANIC DEPRESSION and EYEBALL. Following three albums, 1998's 'Tortura Insomnia', 1999's 'A Handful Of Nothing' and 'Evil As Hell' in 2001, Wranning exited, forging EYETRAP in November 2000 in collaboration with erstwhile SHATTRD personnel guitarist Fredrik Rhodin, bassist Joakim "Chucken" Rhodin and drummer, Jan Karlsson.

In June of 2003 Evansand was announced as new drummer for the swiftly rising SOILWORK. Before the year was out he had joined US outfit CHIMAIRA. Evansand also racked up credits with DEMONOID, THERION and LIONS SHARE. Johnny Wranning announced his new band MURGHATROID in 2004, a union with ex-THERION drummer Sam Carpenter (a.k.a. Sami Karppinen).

In early 2007 it was revealed Evansand was also involved with a high profile side act, DEAD BY APRIL, featuring M.A.N guitar player Martin Meyerman, DRAGONLAND guitarist Olof Mörck, bassist Staffan Persson of WHEN WE FALL plus the PAINFIELD, DEATHDESTRUCTION and NIGHTRAGE credited singer Jimmie Strimell.
