Stockholm Death Metal combo FLAGELLATION started life billed as THORNSPAWN. The group features IN GREY members Per Lindström on vocals and bass, guitarist Daniel Cannerfelt and keyboard player Fredrik Klingwall. Drummer Marcus Jonsson held a tradition with INSISION, PANDEMONIC, CROMB and GENOCRUSH FEROX. Session guitars came courtesy of Toob Brynedal, also of INSISION, CROMB and GENOCRUSH FEROX. The demo 'Spineless Regression' was issued during 1998.

FREDRIK KLINGWALL would also feature in RISING SHADOWS and issued Industrial solo album 'Entrance' in 2006. Both Klingwall and Lindström joined the ranks of MACHINERY in 2006.

FLAGELLATION issued a download EP entitled 'Incinerate Disintegrate' in February 2007 via Last Entertainment Productions. These tracks were recorded at Black Lounge Studio with producer Jonas Kjellgren.
