Former SCAR SYMMETRY vocalist Christian Älvestam, having left his antecedent act in September 2008, duly formed THE FEW AGAINST MANY alongside guitarist Patrik Gardberg, of TORCHBEARER, DIVINEFIRE, AMMOTRACK and MISERATION, bassist Anders Edlund, of SOLAR DAWN, INCAPACITY and SOLUTION.45, with Jani Stefanovic on drums, a seasoned veteran citing credits with RENASCENT, TRAIL OF TEARS, SABAOTH, ESSENCE OF SORROW, MISERATION, SINS OF OMISSION, THE WEAKENING, CRIMSON MOONLIGHT, HILASTHERION, DIVINEFIRE, SOLUTION.45, AM I BLOOD and MEHIDA.

Besides this new project, Älvestam was also active in parallel with SOLUTION.45, MISERATION, TORCHBEARER, INCAPACITY, UNMOORED and QUEST OF AIDANCE. His former band affiliations included SOLAR DAWN, ANGEL BLAKE, CARNALIZED and SYCONAUT.

Debut album recordings, branded 'Sot', were recorded at Panic Room studios with producer Tomas Johansson and featured lyrical contributions from Mikael Stanne of DARK TRANQUILLITY and Jonas Renkse from KATATONIA and BLOODBATH.
