Formed as TOXIC in 1979 the band featured Leif Edling as a lead vocalist for a short period prior to his departure to form NEMESIS and then CANDLEMASS as a bassist. Drummer Håkan 'Ian' Haugland also enjoyed a stint as lead vocalist for demo recordings. TRILOGY broke up in 1984 when Haugland joined EUROPE. Guitarist Christoffer Hoofgard joined VISION.

However, Haugland resurrected TRILOGY when EUROPE called it a day. Initially he viewed the reformed band as nothing more than a covers band before deciding to concentrate on performing original material once more, with the result that an album, 'Lust Provider', emerged in Japan in September 1994 through the Zero Corporation label. A Scandinavian release, via MNW Zone, followed in 1995.
