HIROSHIMA
Biography
An early 70's Midlands club band, frontman Rob Halford had previously performed with ATHENS WOOD, LORD LUCIFER and THARK, whilst drummer John Hinch (real name Frederick Hinch) was a former member of Clem Clempson's Blues outfit BAKERLOO.
The band trimmed down to a trio once bassist Ian Charles was ousted and Halford took over bass duties as well as lead vocals. With the exception of demo tapes HIROSHIMA failed to record and the group dissolved in 1973 when both Halford and drummer John Hinch joined JUDAS PRIEST. The drummer did not last beyond JUDAS PRIEST's 1974 debut 'Rocka Rolla', then going into artist management working with the likes of JAMESON RAID and ULI JON ROTH.
