Biography

DESTROYER was a short-lived London Heavy Metal band that, despite generating a significant media buzz, failed to record anything. The band was created by guitarist Cliff Evans following the demise of TANK and was fronted by ex-YA YA singer LEA HART with Gerry on bass and Steve Clark on the drums.

With the break up of DESTROYER both Hart and Clarke joined FASTWAY. Hart subsequently mentored TRUE BRITS, became a successful record producer and business manager for PAUL DIANNO. Clarke manned the drums for ATOMGOD, GROON, NETWORK and NECROPOLIS. Evans journeyed on through many acts including Dianno's KILLERS. Evans refounded TANK in 1997.
