Well respected Blues based based Rockers found by former BORN LOSER and TRANZZAM vocalist Paul Bridgewater. SLOWBURNER worked the Birmingham club circuit in the late 80s and. put in a commendable performance at the 1988 Birmingham Rockfest, on a bill with THE STARFIGHTERS, MARSHALL LAW and WOLFSBANE. Frontman Paul Bridgewater later joined TAPANZEE, RADIO MOSCOW and HEARTBREAKER. Jase Roper was replaced by Tony Bayliss for a short period.

A further SLOWBURNER album emerged in 1999 with ex-REDBEARDS FROM TEXAS drummer Colin Edmonds. During late 2003 Edmonds, then a member of THE LITTLE A BAND, rejoined SLOWBURNER.
