Biography
Ex-FREE, BAD COMPANY and THE FIRM vocal legend PAUL RODGERS teamed up with ex-THE WHO and SMALL FACES drummer Kenny Jones to record a one off powerful AOR album. A Western theme dominated the visual presentation with the sheriff's badge adorning the album cover extended into a rather awkward image for the musicians themselves involving Stetsons and cowboy boots. 'The Law' featured a version of 'Miss You In A Heartbeat' written by DEF LEPPARD guitarist Phil Collen. The song was later recorded by DEF LEPPARD as a B-side to 'Make Love Like A Man' and resurrected on the Sheffield group's 'Retroactive' collection in 1994.
Also featured on the album was the track 'Nature Of The Beast', co-written with BRYAN ADAMS and featuring the man himself on guitar. 'Stone' is graced with guitar from CHRIS REA and PINK FLOYD's own DAVE GILMOUR. Bass guitar was in the hands of renowned session man Pino Palladino. Live work was sparse but in August 1991 THE LAW featured on a major festival gig at the 'Big Day Out' at Milton Keynes bowl seeing the band sharing the billing with ZZ TOP, BRYAN ADAMS, THUNDER and LITTLE ANGELS.
PAUL RODGERS would later resume his solo career and fronted a reformed BAD COMPANY in 1999. During 2005 Kenny Jones announced the formation of THE JONES GANG, a high profile band union with singer ROBERT HART of BAD COMPANY repute along with FOREIGNER, BAD COMPANY and PETER FRAMPTON band bassist Rick Wills.
