Biography

Solo work from former LITTLE ANGELS frontman Toby Jepson. In spite of bowing out with a UK no. 1 album Jepson's profile was remarkably low key. A band assembled for live work, TOBY AND THE WHOLE TRUTH, included erstwhile MARSHALL LAW bassist Roger Davis, guitarist Russell Godwin and drummer Pete Thomas. Touring plans as support to THUNDER only ended in cancellation and a lengthy period out of the limelight. TOBY AND THE WHOLE TRUTH would only perform a handful of headline club dates during 1995. Neverthless, an album 'Ignorance Is Bliss' did surface during 1996 though on the Nottingham based Cottage Industry label.

During this period Davis hooked back up with MARSHALL LAW for their highly rated 'Metal Detector' and 'Warning From History' albums. Jepson meantime was the subject of an approach from the VAN HALEN camp following SAMMY HAGAR's departure. The singer would also fire up a successful acting career, appearing in movies such as 'Gladiator', 'Angela's Ashes', 'Highlander 4' and 'Sleepy Hollow'. Jepson would also cut demos around this timeframe of a far more Pop orientated nature.

After another lengthy period of silence, TOBY JEPSON announced plans for a bout of solo club dates in late 2001 and appeared to be back to a more substantial Rock sound. The new band found Davis back on bass, former NOUSSOMES, CREED and BLOOD SIMPLE guitarist Nick Dunne, Dave Kemp on keyboards and saxophone and drummer Matt Eldridge. Jepson would be back on the road in 2002 brandishing a newly recorded EP 'Refresh'.

Jepson returned to live action in January of 2006, touring the UK alongside ROADSTAR and headliners THUNDER.

In a surprise move, Jepson joined re-activated Scottish Rockers GUN in 2008. He would also re-build his solo band in early 2009, bringing in guitarist Jason Wardman.
