Late seventies London band founded upon the wealth of experience afforded by bass player Andy Pyle. The four stringer's pre UNITED endeavours included stints with JUICY LUCY, SAVOY BROWN, BLODWYN PIG, LANCASTER, ALVIN LEE and THE KINKS. Keyboard player John Gosling was also an ex KINKS man whilst drummer Ron Berg has credits with SAVOY BROWN.

Antecedent to UNITED, Dennis Stratton had been a member of REMUS DOWN BOULEVARD featuring on the 1978 compilation album 'Live- A Week At The Brisge E16'. In 1979 Stratton left to join IRON MAIDEN as guitarist. Stratton would later figure in LIONHEART and PRAYING MANTIS.

Berg, Gosling and Pyle stuck together to create Jazz Rock outfit NETWORK with guitarists Graham Foster and Dave Tedstone. An album was recorded but never issued. Pyle would later join CHICKENSHACK, the GARY MOORE band and WISHBONE ASH.
