Biography

An ambitious project led by ELEGY vocalist IAN PARRY. The singer also lines up credits with VENGEANCE, HAMMERHEAD and AIRRACE. The venture emerged in 1999 with an eponymous outing issued by Inside Out Music. For this album Parry worked in alliance with AYREON mentor Arjen Lucasson together with hiis ELEGY colleagues, guitarist PATRICK RONDAT, drummer Dirk Bruinenberg and bassist Martin Helmantel. Also on hand would be KAMELOT guitarist Thomas Youngblood, VANDEN PLAS guitar player Stephan Lill, erstwhile VICTORY guitarist Tommy Newton (who also mixed the record) and Tamas Szekeres. Additional bass was supplied by Barend Courbois of VENGEANCE and PERFECT STRANGERS.

The October 2001 album for Locomotive Music, 'Continuum In Extremis', was mixed by Tommy Newton once again. An array of Hard Rock cognoscenti duly put in an appearance. Alongside familiar faces such as Youngblood, Lill, Bruinenberg and Rondat VANDEN PLAS keyboard player Gunter Werno and VENGEANCE bass player Jan Bijlsma were also featured. The band had their version of 'The Immigrant Song' included on the Locomotive Music LED ZEPPELIN tribute album 'The Metal Zeppelin — The Music Remains The Same'.

A third CONSORTIUM PROJECT album, 'Terra Incognita (The Undiscovered World)', was conceived for 2003. The band line up for this opus comprised of vocalist IAN PARRY, guitarist Stephan Lill, bass player Jan Bijlsma, ELEGY keyboard player Joshua Dutrieux and KAMELOT drummer Casey Grillo. The HALFORD and PAIN MUSEUM credited guitarist Mike Chlasciak guested.

CONSORTIUM PROJECT bassist Robert Finan and drummer Casey Grillo aided IAN PARRY on recording of his fourth solo album in late 2004.
