Biography
IMPERIAL VENGEANCE is an East Anglian "Aristocratic Metal" act formed in mid-2007, originally being a studio based collaborative between vocalist / guitarist Charles Edward-Alexander, acting as composer and orchestrator, and bassist and lyricist David Bryan. Unusually the act is inspired by the "glory days of the British Empire". In March 2008 the duo produced a self-financed 2-disc DVDROM package entitled 'Death: August & Royal'. Subsequently a special limited box set edition of this release was made available via the bands' MySpace page.
For live appearances IMPERIAL VENGEANCE conscripted the talents of guitarists Elle Torry, of COLD LAZARUS, WORMS OF SABNOCK, THE MEADS OF ASPHODEL, EVERLASTING DESCENT and LACRIMARUM repute, and James Murray with William Drury on drums. In June 2008 the band signed with Candlelight Records to record the debut album 'At The Going Down Of The Sun'. The band also recorded a cover version of VENOM's 'The 7 Gates Of Hell' for a Hang The Pope Records tribute collection. A promotional video was also filmed for the track 'Cwn Annwn'.
Charles Edward-Alexander joined CRADLE OF FILTH in 2005 as Charles Hedger.
