London based 12 TON METHOD features guitarist Ray Holroyd, previously of notable South African acts ROYD and GRAY RACE EVOLUTION. Relocating to the United Kingdom in 2001, Holroyd forged 12 TON METHOD during 2004. Bassist David O'Sullivan has association with REHARMONIC and 9 SINS. The band featured on the 'Terrorizer' magazine covermount CD in March 2005.

12 TON METHOD folded when drummer Tony Holroyd went back to South Africa. Roy Holroyd duly joined NEEDLEYE in June 2006. However, the name returned in 2007, the fresh line-up featuring the AT THE GATES, CRADLE OF FILTH and THE HAUNTED credited Adrian Erlandsson on drums. Another new recruit would be Joe Cupcott on bass.

12 TON METHOD bowed back in during February 2008 with the EP 'The Art Of Not Falling' through Copro Records. Erlandsson then exited. Pat Lundy manned the drums in November 2007 but would be poached away by RISE TO REMAIN in June 2008. Original band member Tony Holroyd duly re-enrolled.
