MAN RAZE (originally billed as "MAN-RAZE"), initiated during July of 2004, is a project founded by two GIRL veterans, guitarist Phil Collen, better known for his mult-platinum work with DEF LEPPARD, bassist Simon Laffy and Paul Cook of the SEX PISTOLS on drums. Laffy had also featured as a member of ATLANTIS, HARD RAIN and SHEER GREED. With his brother, and GIRL colleague, Gerry, the bassist had also cut two albums billed simply GERRY & SIMON LAFFY, 1994's 'Lying With The Angels' and 1995's 'Can't Help It'.

A debut album would be recorded during early 2005. First available product would be a single 'Skin Crawl', released in October via Surrealist Records. The band made its live debut on 27th September at The Spitz venue in London, after which they decided to delay the release of the album and record new tracks.

The group released a download only single, 'Turn It Up', in May 2008. The album 'Surreal' was issued through VH1 Classics.
