A Birmingham extreme Black Metal band endeavouring to recreate the rawest and most primitive sounds of the genre. Heavily inspired by early MAYHEM the band has covered two of the Norwegian pioneers tracks with 'Carnage' appearing on ANAAL NATHRAKH's debut eponymous demo of March 1999 and 'De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas' forming part of the September follow up 'Total Fucking Necro' tape.

The Scottish label Leviaphonic would combine both sessions for the 'Total Fucking Necro' CD release. Guitarist Irrumator (a.k.a. Mick Kenney) and drummer Battlesticks also operate the Black Metal duo FROST. Kenney would also be active as a member of Doom band MISTRESS, harsh Black Metal project FROST and performed on the 2002 album 'With No Human Intervention' from Italian Black Metal veterans ABORYM. Kenney would act as producer for UNSANCTUM's debut album 'Ignite The Skies'.

The February 2003 re-issue of 'Total Fucking Necro' on the Rage Of Achilles label added an exclusive track 'Necrogeddon' from previously unreleased April 2001 'We Will Fucking Kill You' sessions. Mordgrimm increased the band's output that year too with the issue of the EP 'When Fire Rains Down From The Sky, Mankind Will Reap As It Has Sown'. ANAAL NATHRAKH landed a first in November when they recorded four tracks for the BBC Radio 1 John Peel show.

Recording at Necrodeath studios, the band set 'Domine Non Es Dignus' as the title of their 2004 opus for Season Of Mist Records. In August 2004 the MAYHEM, TORMENTOR and ABORYM scene veteran Attila Csihar revealed plans for an extreme Metal "supergroup" BORN TO MURDER THIS WORLD, this projected union set to comprise Mick Kenney of ANAAL NATHRAKH, Shane Embury of NAPALM DEATH, Necrobutcher of MAYHEM and former CRADLE OF FILTH and DIMMU BORGIR drummer Nick Barker.

Kenny acted as producer for Nottingham Sludge outfit BUMSNOGGER in 2005. Billed as ANAAL NATHRAKH V.I.T.R.I.O.L., Kenney, guitarist Ventnor, Embury and Barker cut a second BBC Radio session at Maida Vale Studios on 18th March.

In September Mick Kenney, in collaboration with NAPALM DEATH's Shane Embury, announced the formation of new label Feto Records. This imprint served as an outlet for Kenney's EXPLODER, MISTRESS and PROFESSOR FATE projects.

ANAAL NATHRAKH recordings in January 2007 saw the inclusion of CEREBRAL FIX and BENEDICTION bassist Frank Healy. BENEDICTION's Dave Hunt supplied vocals. 'Hell Is Empty, And All The Devils Are Here' was released in October 2007 via Feto. The album included guest vocals from CIRCLE OF DEAD CHILDREN's Josama Bin Horvath and Dirty Von Donovan from EXPLODER, as well as an appearance by Shane Embury of NAPALM DEATH on bass.

The group featured on the 'Summer Breeze' festival billing in August 2009 held in Dinkelsbühl, Germany.
