Phoenix, Arizona Metalcore outfit ABIGAIL WILLIAMS, founded in 2004 by guitarist Kenneth Rothschild and comprising personnel from KYDS VS. COLUMBUS, JOB FOR A COWBOY and N17 also includes VEHEMENCE members guitarist Bjorn Dannov and bass player Mark Kozuback, the latter having replaced former four-stringer Tom Brougher. The three track demo 'Gallow Hill' arrived in 2005.

A mass exodus in January 2006 saw singer Connor Woods, Bjorn Dannov, Andy Schroeder and Mark Kozuback all exiting. This foursome stuck together, cutting demos before the close of the month billed as THE SYMMETRY IN CHAOS. ABIGAIL WILLIAMS, now down to a trio, signed to Candlelight Records in March. An album would be recorded with the TESTAMENT, DEATH, AGENT STEEL, CANCER, DISINCARNATE and OBITUARY guitarist credited JAMES MURPHY acting as producer.

A UK tour in October, alongside BRING ME THE HORIZON, was cut short when drummer Zach Gibson injured his wrist during a show in Edinburgh. Candlelight Records issued the 'Legend' EP in January 2007. The following month ABIGAIL WILLIAMS set to work on a full-length album.

In March 2007 it was learned that Mark Kozuback and Ken "Sorceron" had united with singer Marshall Beck, of REBIRTH, DESCEND and VEXATION, in a new conceptual Death Metal project called REIGN OF VENGEANCE. Soon afterwards an official band statement read "ABIGAIL WILLIAMS has decided to disband. It's no secret that the band has had more than its fair share of line-up problems and the time has now come to close the doors."

However, the band was to return. ABIGAIL WILLIAMS' James Murphy produced full-length debut, titled 'In the Shadow Of A Thousand Suns', was released in October 2008 via Candlelight Records.

GOATWHORE, DAATH, ABYSMAL DAWN, SUCCESS WILL WRITE APOCALYPSE ACROSS THE SKY and ABIGAIL WILLIAMS teamed up for the 'Conquer & Curse' tour 2009 summer US live trek throughout June and into August.
