Biography

YESTERDAY'S TEAR was founded in 1987 but a shift from basic Hard Rock to more Electro, Industrial, gloom tinged Nu-Metal saw a name switch to DROWN in 1989. DROWN scored a major coup by signing to Elektra Records for their debut record 'Hold On To The Hollow' but were dropped shortly after. Bassist Rob Nicholson joined PRONG then DANZIG. He would go on to WHITE ZOMBIE, ROB ZOMBIE and a brief stint with OZZY OSBOURNE under the new pseudonym of 'Blasko'.

DROWN signed to Geffen but although another album was recorded and ready to go Geffen passed. The album eventually emerged on Mercury subsidiary Slipdisc.
