Announced in late 2005, Los Angeles based 100 PROOF comprised the internationally known cast comprising JIZZY PEARL of LOVE/HATE, L.A. GUNS and RATT on lead vocals, Stacey Blades from L.A. GUNS on guitar, Mike Duda of W.A.S.P. on bass and the veteran figure of the AC/DC, THE FIRM, STATUS QUO and URIAH HEEP credited Chris Slade on drums. The band's debut gig came on 10th December 2005 at the Key Club in Hollywood, California.

In January 2006 Chris Slade joined up with DAMAGE CONTROL, a new band assembled by former MAGNUM guitarist ROBIN GEORGE and bassist PETE WAY of UFO, OZZY OSBOURNE and WAYSTED repute. Chris Slade put in a notable one off performance as part of THE BIG BALL STARS, alongside vocalist ROBIN McAULEY, of McAULEY SCHENKER GROUP, FAR CORPORATION and SURVIVOR, guitarist John Corabi, of MȪTLEY CRÜE, UNION and RATT, keyboard player Teddy Zig-Zag, of GUNS 'N ROSES, plus the RATT credited Robbie Crane on bass and Brent Woods from the VINCE NEIL band, in a live set on January 27th 2007 at The Knitting Factory in Hollywood, California.

Chris Slade joined ECOTONIC, a band unit featuring Jason Ebs, former member of the PETER CRISS band, and vocalist Janea Chadwick.
