STEEL PANTHER, holding residencies at the Key Club on the Sunset Strip and The Ovation Lounge at Green Valley Ranch Casino in Henderson, Nevada is a Californian '80s Glam Metal / Hard Rock tribute band formerly known as METAL SHOP, DANGER KITTY and METAL SKOOL. Under the DANGER KITTY logo the group published a 2001 promotional single 'Love Rocket'. METAL SKOOL issued a 2003 album 'Hole Patrol'. The group switched title from METAL SKOOL to STEEL PANTHER in April 2008, re-debuting with a concert at The Rockin' Saddle Club in Redlands, California.

The group is fronted by erstwhile L.A. GUNS singer Ralph Saenz, as 'Michael Starr', and ex-FIGHT guitarist Russ Parrish, as 'Satchel'. Bass is handled by Travis Haley as 'Lexxi Foxx'. Drummer Darren Leader ('Stix Zadinia') is a member of THORNBIRDS alongside Parrish. Saenz also leads VAN HALEN tribute band ATOMIC PUNKS, another act that features Parrish.

Probably the most high profile tribute band on the Californian circuit, having won an accolade as "Best Tribute Band in the Universe", STEEL PANTHER shows are regularly enhanced by guest musicians. Sharing the stage with the band, amongst many others, have been Criss Angel, Kenny Loggins, Paul Stanley, Corey Taylor, David Draiman, Drew Carey, Jerry Cantrell, Kelly Clarkson, Phil Anselmo, Billy Ray Cyrus, Tom Morello, Pink and Avril Lavigne in February 2009.

Signing to the Republic label STEEL PANTHER cut a debut album 'Feel The Steel', produced by Jay Ruston, for release in June 2009. The album saw release in the USA on 6th October. Allison Robertson of THE DONNAS and Justin Hawkins from THE DARKNESS made an appearance on the STEEL PANTHER number, 'Party All Day'. ANTHRAX's Scott Ian showed up on 'Asian Hooker' alongside SLIPKNOT's Corey Taylor, who also appeared on 'Eyes Of A Panther' and the first single, 'Death To All But Metal'.
