Biography
Mid 70s Los Angeles Hard Rock act THE BOYZ was managed by the notorious maverick figure of Kim Fowley. A three song demo was recorded in 1975 with producer Paul Ratajack. The group played the club circuit, being supported by both VAN HALEN and QUIET RIOT and conversely supporting THE RUNAWAYS amongst others, until guitarist George Lynch, bass player Monte Zufelt and drummer Mick Brown formulated XCITER in 1978.
THE BOYZ singer MICHAEL WHITE forged LA ROX in 1977 with future W.A.S.P. man Randy Piper, created THE WHITE with guitarist Lanny Cordola, then fronted LONDON before striking out solo with a 1987 album. In 1988 White very briefly joined German Heavy Metal band ACCEPT. In later years both Lynch and Brown found fame with multi-platinum band DOKKEN. Lynch also went solo with LYNCH MOB. Brown gained further credits as tour drummer for TED NUGENT.
