A Florida act rising out of the ashes of NOCTURNUS. Coming together during 1999 the former NOCTURNUS players vocalist / drummer Mike Browning, guitarist Gino Marino and bassist Richard Bateman forged NOCTURNUS A.D. in union with second guitarist Mike Walkowski. Mike Browning also holds credits with ACHERON, MORBID ANGEL and INCUBUS. Upfront of formulating this new venture Browning would be found pursuing an eclectic range of products such as DEACON SCREECH, ASH, WOLF AND HAWK and DEVINE ESSENCE. Bateman would also be holding down active membership of GARDY-LOO!, SWOLLEN and LOWBROW.

During 2000 the band distanced itself from prior connections, re-billing itself as AFTER DEATH and enrolling bassist Todd Williams. Latter day vocalist / keyboard player Lisa Lombardo already had a cult tradition spearheading LISA THE WOLF, issuing the 1996 single 'I Am The Wolfe', WOLF AND HAWK and DEVINE ESSENCE. Changes saw the departure of Walkowski and incorporation of new bassist Sir Thomas Swain, supplanting Williams. This new recruit also held DEVINE ESSENCE credits.

The demo 'Consumed By Fire', featuring a guesting Brian Hipp of CRADLE OF FILTH repute, arrived in 2003. A mid 2004 demo session, entitled 'Reviving The Gods', was recorded at Audiolab studios in Tampa with producer Jon Oliva of SAVATAGE.

AFTER DEATH issued the 'Secret Lords Of The Star Chamber Below' demo in September 2006.
