Biography

A speed fuelled Power Metal act out of Brooklyn fronted by erstwhile GOTHIC KNIGHTS member George Tsalikis. ZANDELLE was created as a trio with Tsalikis on vocals and bass, guitarist Kirk Passomonti and drummer Amit Lahav during November 1995. This unit recorded a self-financed album, issued in 1996. Healthy press reports soon found this record being picked up by the Sentinel Steel specialist label and as such, word of ZANDELLE's prowess spread rapidly. However, with Lahav embroiled in medical studies the band's drummer was forced to prioritise on his career and John Lasanta duly stepped in as ZANDELLE's new sticksman.

For ZANDELLE's second album 'Shadows Of Reality' the band would be joined by guitarist Anthony Maglio, a former member of SILENCE and GOD FORBID and the fifteen year old Joe Hartoularos. The initial introduction of Maglio, intended to be employed as part of a twin guitar team, forced Passomonti out of the picture and prompted the arrival of Hartoularos.

Drummer Bob Delmini, previously with LEGEND, was enrolled in 1999 as ZANDELLE began to receive offers of live dates nation-wide. However, Hartoularos then bailed out putting the band in search of a lead guitarist yet again. T.W. Durfy, replying to a classified ad, would be recruited in August 2000 in time for recording of the 'Twilight On Humanity' opus. Hartoularos would make a return for live action as stand in bassist. ZANDELLE added erstwhile OCTOBER THORNS drummer Joe 'Jofu' Cardillo in 2003. Shortly after, former ZANDELLE drummer Bob Delmini teamed up with MAGUS BEAST.

ZANDELLE inked a deal with Germany's Pure Steel Records in March 2009 for the group's new album 'Flames Of Rage'.
