Biography

MY BITTER END, formed by erstwhile members of FORORDAINED, is a highly volatile, technical based Deathcore band forged in Middletown, New York during 2003. MY BITTER END, comprising vocalist Tyler Guida, guitarists Todd Ranne and A.J. Tompkins, bass player Shawn Jennings and drummer Michael Ranne, contracted with Innerstrength Records for the opening 2003 album 'A Thin Line Between Heaven And Hell', recorded at Trax East Studio. Nationwide US dates in March 2004 allied the band with ALBERT REACT and AUGUST BURNS RED.

MY BITTER END self-financed the 2005 EP 'Painting The Town Red Through The Back Of My Head'. East Coast headline shows were conducted in January 2006, capitalised on by April gigs flanking THE TONY DANZA TAPDANCE EXTRAVAGANZA and YEAR OF DESOLATION. August witnessed North Eastern concerts in a package bill with THE RED DEATH, NERVE GAS TRAGEDY and THIS MOMENT before a September run featuring ROSEDEAD and ANTERRABAE. Tour dates in November were cancelled for an unusual reason, as it was announced Tyler Guida had been bitten by a poisonous spider, suffering a temporary loss of his right arm.

Uprising Records released the Jamie King produced second album 'The Renovation', recorded at The Basement Studios and mastered by Alan Douches, in September 2007. A promotional video for the song 'To All Things Expendable' was directed by Frankie Nasso. To promote the album it was announced MY BITTER END was to partner BLOODJINN, THE CLASSIC STRUGGLE and THE DEMONSTRATION for October US dates. However, the group disbanded that September. Michael Ranne joined THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD.

MY BITTER END, minus A.J. Tompkins, reunited in early 2008.
