Infamous Thrashcore with strong Punk persuasions. SHEER TERROR weighed in with two cassette albums 'No Grounds For Pity' in 1986 and 'Fall From Grace' during 1987. Guitarist Alan Blake decamped in 1990, allegedly because of SHEER TERROR's cover version of a song by THE CURE! He would found DARKSIDE in 1992. DARKSIDE would subsequently re-record some SHEER TERROR material.

The 1995 album 'Love Songs For The Unloved' was co-produced by Tommy Victor of PRONG.

Former vocalist / bassist Barron Joseph Misuraca founded DESECRATOR then vampire rock act VASARIA during 1997 in collusion with GENITORTURERS guitarist Chuck Lenihan. Frontman Paul Bearer would guest on the 1999 25 TA LIFE album 'Triple Crown'. During 2000 Bearer was fronting a new act JOE COFFEE.

SHEER TERROR reformed in 2004, putting in a brace of reunion gigs at New York's infamous CBGB's club in October. The band at this juncture comprised singer Paul Bearer, guitarist Mark Neuman, bassist Chickie and drummer Pat.
