Biography

BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME is an eclectic, Crossover Progressive Death Metal unit hailing from North Carolina. A diverse array of influences would be brought to bear by founding members vocalist Tommy Rogers and guitarist Paul Waggoner, both of UNDYING and PRAYER FOR CLEANSING, alongside Will Goodyear, from THE VOIDS and PRAYER FOR CLEANSING. Rogers had also fronted New York Hardcore band FROM HERE ON, recording an album, 'Hope For A Bleeding Sky' released as a limited run of 700 copies in 2001. The band would be rounded out by ex-AZAZEL musicians guitarist Nick Fletcher and bassist Jason King. BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME parted ways with Nick Fletcher in November of 2003.

The band allied themselves with CAVE IN and CONVERGE for a mammoth series of US dates in the Fall of 2004. However, guitarist Shane Blay exited in September, the band drafting Dustie Waring from GLASS CASKET as stand in. Further membership casualties were sustained in January of 2005 with the exit of both Kevin Falk and Jason Roe. Recruited as replacement drummer would be GLASS CASKET's Blake Richardson.
