After winning the 2006 Raleigh 'Teen Battle of the Bands' competition, for which the band used HAYVYN drummer Sean as stand in, VIPER enlisted new drummer Peter Lemieux, previously with CREATURES OF HAVOC. Work then commenced on a debut album dubbed 'Brimstone Fireforge'. In October 2006 singer Johnny Aune stepped in as substitute singer for TWISTED TOWER DIRE.
