Biography
ROX DIAMOND's 1992 eponymous debut was originally released in Japan on FunHouse Records before being picked up by the Music For Nations affiliated Active label for European release. Drum tracks were performed by Mike Botts, KEEL's Dwain Miller, Jeff Richfield and Tom Harriman. KEEL's Ron Keel features on backing vocals.
The band had originally gone under the handle of CASANOVA and featured a line-up of vocalist / keyboardist Paul Daniels, guitarist Kevin Bach (nee Achenbach), bassist Ricky Falco and drummer Jeff Majors. In this guise the unit had recorded several demos of hard edged AOR before gaining a record deal in Japan, working with several different drummers before settling on ex-KEEL man Dwain Miller and being forced to change their name to ROX DIAMOND. Majors would subsequently turn up in HOT WHEELZ.
The band made a surprising return in October of 2003, signing an deal for a new studio album plus a re-launch of the 1992 debut with bonus material with the British Z Records label.
