Biography

Seattle's "Blackout Grind" SKARP act, forged in 2000, features drummer Joe Michael Axler of Portland's SPLATTERHOUSE. A series of extensive tours across the USA and Canada plus self-financed EPs led to European gigging in 2004. Opening for the MELVINS, the band scored the attention of Jello Biafra. His Alternative Tentacles label issued the Billy Anderson produced 'Requiem' album, a loosely conceptual collection of songs related to suicide, in August 2005. The group partnered with ABSCESS, EXHUMED and INSANITY for a short burst of US dates in August 2005.
