Biography

In August 2005 former DAMAGEPLAN singer and HALFORD, DR. MASTERMIND, STATE OF THE ART and DIESEL MACHINE guitarist Patrick Lachman unveiled his new band THE MERCY CLINIC. The band line-up comprised guitarists Brian Harrah, of PROFESSIONAL MURDER MUSIC, SPITKISS and TURA SATANA repute, and Josh Stinson from DRIST, bassist Steed Najera of TRIPLE SEVEN and the COMES WITH THE FALL, DANZIG and JERRY CANTRELL credited drummer Bevan Davies.

The seeds of the band, based in California, had actually been sown the year before, when Harrah forwarded demos to Lachman for an opinion. Following the onstage murder of DAMAGEPLAN guitarist Darrell 'Dimebag" Abbott in December 2004 the singer subsequently developed the new band unit. THE MERCY CLINIC made their live debut as the opening act for BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and BRAND NEW SIN on 19th November 2005 at The Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, California.

For the band's October 24th 2006 show at The Knitting Factory in Hollywood, California THE MERCY CLINIC pulled in the temporary services of former PRONG drummer Dan Laudo.
